For arlanix/product-feed 1.0

Before you start

You will make the feeds yourself, in the admin. Two things come first: the module installed by your developer, and an account on each platform the feeds go to.

Ask your developer to install it

Installing a Magento module takes access to the server, so it is a developer's job. It takes about half an hour. Send them this, as it is:

Please install Arlanix Product Feed on the store: https://www.arlanix.com/product-feed/docs/install. It is on Adobe Commerce Marketplace under our account. When it is done, please check that the Magento cron runs the arlanix_feed group, and generate one test feed as the page describes.

They will need the access keys of the Marketplace account that bought the module: in Marketplace, My Profile → Access Keys. Send them the keys, or give them access to the account.

Ask them to do it on a copy of the store first, if they keep one, and on the live store after.

Check that it was done

When your developer says it is finished, log into the admin and check:

  1. Arlanix is at the bottom of the left-hand menu, with Feeds, Dictionaries and Run History in it.
  2. Under Arlanix → Feeds, the test feed your developer made, if they left it, says a time under Last delivery, not never delivered.

If either is not so, send your developer the page again: Install ends with the same check.

A message at the top of the admin that Arlanix Feed Inventory is installed, but Multi Source Inventory is switched off is not an error. It says your store counts stock in one warehouse, and the feeds do the same. Your developer can switch the message off.

Open a Google Merchant Center account

Google Shopping reads products from Google Merchant Center, a free Google service. If you do not have an account yet, create one at merchants.google.com with the Google account you use for the business, and fill in, before your first feed:

Google will not show a product until these are filled in, however good the feed. When Google rejects products has the details.

For Facebook and Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat or Bing, the account is that platform's own, such as Meta Commerce Manager. Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and Microsoft says where each one takes a feed.

Know your catalogue

Three questions about your products decide a few settings. Have the answers ready:

Then make your first feed.
